Tow a heavy trailer downhill with more ease and confidence thanks to the Ford F-250's driver-activated engine exhaust. At the push of a button, this feature restricts the F-250's turbocharged engine's exhaust flow. The resulting back pressure helps slow the vehicle, giving you greater control when dragging tons behind you on a decline. Engine braking requires less pedal pressure, which reduces wear and tear.
Best-in-Class Hauling and Towing
Properly equipped, the 2024 Ford F-250 has best-in-class hauling (8,000 pounds) and gooseneck towing (40,000 pounds). The hauling and towing power come from the F-250's lineup of highly capable, torquey engines. The lineup includes two 6.7-liter diesel V8 engines, one of them a High-Output engine. The other two engines are a 6.8- and a 7.2-liter gas V8.
